As well as helping to protect you against potential financial impact of a claim for accidental damage to your landlord’s property, you can choose optional insurance for your own possessions, too. Contents insurance with Tenants’ Liability cover can offer you and your landlord peace of mind.
Why take out Tenant’s Liability insurance?
Under your tenancy agreement you could be responsible for accidental damage you cause to your landlord’s fixtures and fittings, especially if you’ve rented a furnished property or partly furnished flat or house.
If things go wrong and you accidentally damage your landlord’s property, they could make a claim against you and you may be responsible for the cost of replacing or repairing the damage. At Intasure, our cover can provide you with up to £4,000 of cover costs you are legally liable to pay as a tenant under a tenancy agreement in respect of accidental damage to your landlord’s fixtures, fittings, furniture and furnishings.
What does the policy cover?
Cover your own possessions with Optional Contents insurance cover
Not only can you help make sure you have cover for damage to your landlord’s property, but you also have the option to cover your own possessions and personal belongings too. With the exception of mobile phones or glasses, we can include personal possessions such as laptops. This additional cover to your Tenant’s Liability insurance helps protect your personal possessions against theft or damage. Please refer to the policy documentation for full terms and conditions.
What if I move house?
The great thing about your Tenant’s Liability insurance coverage from Intasure is that it’s a ‘portable’ policy, an increase in premium may occur depending on risk location. So if you move to a new address then your policy moves with you. No additional fees for any changes within the policy. All you have to do is let us know your new address – it’s that simple.
Are there any optional extras?
