Intasure is allowed to arrange insurance policies for our EU customers because of so-called ‘passporting rights’ which exist between the UK and the rest of the EU. After Brexit, the UK will no longer be part of the EU and passporting will come to an end for UK based companies. Intasure, as part of the Gallagher group, will be making some changes to the way in which we provide insurance services to our EU customers.
After we leave the European Union Intasure insurance for those resident in the EEA (European Economic Area) will be provided by another company of the Gallagher group based in the EU. This will not affect our ability to arrange insurance cover but we will be providing services in the name of “Intasure”, a registered trading name of Nordic Försäkring & Riskhantering AB, a company based in Sweden. Where applicable, we will use specialist EU service desk teams to provide customers with information, advice and service.
