Caravan Insurance abroad
While holiday caravans in the UK are a great way for people to plan regular holidays (or even generate an additional stream of income through holiday lets), having a caravan overseas is also proving to be increasingly popular. For savvy holidaymakers owning a mobile home or caravan abroad can be an excellent way of getting holidays in the sun for a fraction of the cost.
Not only can you pop over to France, whenever you feel like you need a top-up of sunshine, but we also cover for countries including; Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece and the UK. When you’re not there you can hire out your caravan or mobile home to other sun-starved Brits and earn some extra income.
However, just like any big investment, you may need to consider protecting your asset, especially as you won’t be there to keep an eye on things for most of the time. Fortunately, we can help.
Why do I need caravan insurance abroad?
You can never predict the future, so to make sure you are not hit hard financially if things go wrong, caravan insurance should be considered. Our policies provide you with cover that helps protect you if there is physical loss or damage to your caravan and its contents. It also includes things like cover for expenses if you need to find alternative accommodation, or have to pay for emergency travel costs to get you back home.
Whether it’s a large caravan, a classic static home or a small mobile home on the coast, our policies come with a range of features to help us meet your needs. Our experience of providing caravan insurance abroad for owners with caravans in France, Spain, Italy, Greece and Portugal has helped us to understand what might be important to you, such as cover when the caravan is left unoccupied and Public Liability up to £2.5 million included as standard.
Why would I need public liability cover?
Public liability insurance means that if a person is injured or their property is damaged while on or in your property, then you have cover if they then pursue a claim for compensation against you. This can be particularly important if you’re planning to rent your caravan or mobile home out to holidaymakers while you’re not there. You also have the option of increasing that level of cover to up to £5million, to offer extra peace of mind.
